A Typical Day For Carers Choice

We aim to provide a flexible service for family carers who look after an adult with learning disabilities at home. The carers needs are of paramount importance to us and we therefore personalise care hours to suit individual needs.

The needs of family carers are varied as are the circumstances in which they care. The care often involves initiating new interests or joining in activities with the supported person. However, we endeavor to cover all special needs where possible.

Below are some of the types of activities that our Personal Assistants might expect to be involved with. Different clients have different needs and it must be noted that this is for illustration only.

Early Morning

Waiting for transport to activities whilst the family carer goes to work or appointments, etc.

Helping with personal needs such as washing, dressing, etc.
